Project Management Institute (PMI), regularly updates content, standard guide, exam material, and other details to keep current with the best practices in project management and to provide a better experience for project managers.
Recent updates indicate that the Project Management Institute, (PMI), is changing the venue and mode of several certification exams in 2019.
They are moving the exam centers from Prometric VUE to Pearson VUE around the globe, except for China, in order to improve the overall exam experience.
These are the changes that will be made:
Pearson VUE Prometric Exam Center Locations
The exam can now be taken in a more convenient location due to the inclusion of more cities and towns in the list of Pearson VUE exam centers.

Multiple exam centers at the same location
An earlier PMI exam could only have been taken at one location. Multiple locations are now available in the same town or city.

You can take PMI-ACP or CAPM exams at home or in the office.
Candidates can now take the PMI-ACP and CAPM exams from their offices or homes. This will make it easier and more convenient to access the certifications. This benefit is not available for other certifications at the moment.
From paper-based testing to computer-based testing
The locations where Paper-based exams were held are now being moved to Computer-based exams at Pearson VUE. The application process, payment of exam fees and exam date taking remain the same.

All of the changes made by PMI in 2019 are helping candidates and improving the services offered by PMI around the world. This will help PMI provide more value.
The exam content changes will also be made public as soon as the PMI updates them. We will soon release the exam content changes for both participants and project managers. The last date for the current exam content is December 16, 2019. Participants are advised to clear the exam before the deadline in order to ensure that the exam follows a proven model.
